@two.plaid.aprons: MaoMao's Ice Cream From The Apothecary Diaries! [RECIPE BELOW❤️] Season 3 is out so in honor, here's one of our favorites! 1 cup heavy cream 1 cup whole milk ¼ cup turbinado sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, not used in anime) Toasted walnut, chopped White peach, chopped Apricot, chopped Hawthorn, chopped (not dates) Salt, for chilling 1. Prepare a large bowl of ice water and mix with a generous sprinkle of salt. 2. In a smaller bowl, add the cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla (if using). Place the bowl into the prepared ice water and whisk until thickened and a bit fluffy. A hand mixer will be very helpful! 3. This step is not done in the anime, but it’ll really help the ice cream develop better texture. If you’re fine with just a fluffy, whipped cream texture, you can skip this step. Once the ice cream mixture has thickened a bit, place it into the freezer. Whisk it every 15 to 30 minutes to help form some ice crystals and to thicken the ice cream more. Do this a couple times until the ice cream is thick like soft serve ice cream. 4. Sprinkle in the chopped walnut, peach, apricot, and hawthorn and mix well. Scoop and serve immediately and top with more chopped nuts and fruits. ***Alternatively, you can put the ice cream mixture into a resealable bag and place that into a larger resealable bag filled with salted ice water. Seal up the bags and shake vigorously until the mixture has thickened to about soft serve consistency. Enjoy immediately or freeze.*** #anime #animefood #Recipe #maomao #Apothecarydiaries

freyasmom420 :

love that maomao invented ice cream 😂

Mei & Kyong :

some BTS, took about 3 months to get everything. ordered a special hammer from Japan that they also used, spray painted a bucket for the pot, Kyong hand painted and searched weeks for the silver cup they used, and we used a big rectangle styrofoam box to freeze a block of ice that was a pain to break😭🤣. maybe we will film the making of these videos, because sometimes it gets interesting

DenisseDoodles1356 :

Maomao figured out why the Emperor’s kids were dying, figured out the flower that could help with the sickness, helped Lady Lihua recover from the face powder’s poisoning, helped Lady Lishu with her food allergies, found out Lady Shin was the cause of the face powder not being confiscated AND that she was planning to make it so Lihua couldn’t carry another child, AND THEY STILL DOUBT HER?!

AsianHermit :

They really just need to stop doubting her😂
