Dexter Sol Ansell really said give the kid an Emmy The viral post is reacting to Dexter Sol Ansell’s performance as Egg in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which premiered on HBO in January 2026 and concluded its six episode first season on February 22. The image references the finale, where Prince Maekar calls Egg his last son before allowing him to pursue life on the road with Dunk. The awards conversation is not entirely hypothetical anymore. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms earned nine Emmy nominations in July 2026, including Outstanding Drama Series, but Ansell and Peter Claffey were both left out of the acting categories. Critics have repeatedly singled out Ansell, now 11, for making Egg feel sharp, vulnerable and genuinely childlike rather than simply playing a miniature adult. So while the meme is clearly fan praise, the performance has already received serious critical recognition. #iamsoft15 #houseofthedragon #GameOfThrones
