Charlotte County commissioners approved the project’s final site plan 4–0 on September 8, 2026, clearing another major hurdle for the massive travel center planned near I-75 and Harborview Road. And when we say massive… we mean Buc-ee’s massive. 😳 The proposed location is expected to include approximately 74,000 square feet of retail space and around 120 fueling positions, bringing Buc-ee’s famous brisket, Beaver Nuggets, huge convenience store and legendary bathrooms to Southwest Florida. 📍 Location: I-75 & Harborview Road, Port Charlotte ✅ Final site plan approved ⛽ Approx. 120 fueling positions 🏪 Approx. 74,000 sq. ft. 🦫 First Buc-ee’s in Southwest Florida This would put Buc-ee’s right in the middle of the growing Sarasota–Charlotte–Lee County corridor, with easy interstate access for travelers heading between Sarasota, Venice, North Port, Punta Gorda, Fort Myers and beyond.
