@kuehn29: Howdy… One of the most useful things I ever learned? Don’t fall in love with past success. Be proud of it. Be grateful for it. Take every damn lesson from it. But don’t build a shrine to who you had to be back then. I’ve survived things I have absolutely no interest in becoming better at surviving. I’ve carried shit I eventually realized I could just put down. And I’ve had things work incredibly well that I’d be an idiot to keep doing today. That’s the part success doesn’t teach you. Sometimes the thing that got you here has finished its job. And I have a life today that I once would’ve begged God for. I’m not going to disrespect it by insisting on being the man I had to become before it arrived. Honor your past. Just don’t give it custody of your future.
