When my grandfather was state senator from 72 to 86 it wasn’t out of the ordinary if a sitting member died and the relative took over, but the relative would not run for that same seat they would just fill in until the special election or election would.. anyway my grandfather was part of the doing his civic duty and did not ever take a kickback in his freaking life or take pack money, etc. he was recruited by John F. Kennedy, and then was part of the Harry Reid coalition where they just did not enrich themselves off the backs of the taxpayers.. he would be freaking the F out seeing what has happened to the government
