the whole “california natives dont call it cali” thing was completely made up by people who desperately want to have a unique californian dialect that doesnt really exist. its the same people who say “we dont pronounce our T’s” when theres many speakers from other states who speak similarly lol. the amount of natives who do and dont call it cali are basically equal. can we stop coping now?
