@valentin.debbi: Why are retired aircraft tires so valuable #popularscience #Science #usa_tiktok #fyp #fyf

thyemogod :

And how have we not figured out a way to get the tires spinning before touchdown 🤦

Blaz3-h :

Taylor swifts new song

Balut :

why don't they just make the wheel run for 150km/h or same as how fast the plane before landing it so the friction to the runway is cancelled?

AZ Hvac Dad✝️ :

I need an aircraft engineer to explain why they don’t add wind vains to the tires to match airspeed to save tires.

Саша :

can't they just put electric motors on the wheels

Jonathan Eads :

I use to work on airplane wheels and brakes

TizzasGU06 :

Surly they get a motor on the wheel and spin it to the speed of the aircraft just before landing

️ :

ehy not land on grass

EatinPancake :

People saying why not make tires that spin before landing…. Because that don’t make money for the tire company’s if they don’t need new tires •.•

Bricky.26 :

why do they use wheel wen they can just use the body

R :

Omg everyone saying just spin the wheels - of course that’s been done before but it hugely extends the distance it takes to stop the plane. It’s not worth it. They are primarily brakes trying to stop an enormous plane on a tiny stretch of concrete

ranfom :

so why don't we use these in normal cars

Ethan😂🤌 :

So if I put this on a car it will last forever

Mousa.EnG :
