the only thing i don’t understand is how everybody gets to that perfect deficit/ macros level accurately, ive used the online calculators and my smartwatch but that doesn’t take into account my muscle mass and bf%

I’m 5’4 I went from 170-130 and I’ve been 130 for pretty much 3 months now. I started seriously lifting last month I workout out 5 days a week heavy lifting and I eat 1500cals, I track EVERYTHING!. I haven’t lost weight but I have noticed muscle gain. Should I be continuing trying to lose fat and maintain my deficit? Or go up slightly? I also get 12k steps on average everyday

Exercise boost ur metabolism quite a bit especially body weight exercising and stretching is super low impact and you can burn 15-40 cals for 20 minutes , doesn’t sound like a lot but it all adds up , definitely agree with destress
