@taylorwaldronxo: Episode 2 of Baby Care 101 is all about Safe Sleep and how to follow and implement it from the get go! The ABC’s of Safe Sleep are crucial to follow for your baby’s safety. We followed these, and still do. We just didn’t room share, but that’s just a recommendation not something that you have to fully follow for safe sleep! That’s just another thing you can follow to help with SIDs risk. However, our baby hates the bassinet and so she loved her crib and that was safer than any other alternative. You have to do you, but please follow the ABCs. And if you have to co-sleep, learn how to do that safely. #firsttimemom #newmom #pregnanttiktok #newbornsleep #newborntips @Love To Dream
Do you have to put the baby in a sleep sack or swaddle when they’re napping?

I understand that people need to get sleep too but as someone who worked in child welfare for over 3 years… unsafe sleep child deaths happen more frequently than people think. It’s devastating.

This series is very helpful for me! I work at a daycare so I do know the 3 month old to 5 year old range, but I know almost nothing about newborns, especially in my own house. I did know the safe sleep stuff, but I’m excited to learn more 😊 Also you’re giving big sister energy and I am here for it!

I’ve seen these bed side bassinets where it’s right next to the bed and the bed side does not have a wall between the bassinet and bed is that safe? Bc baby could roll over onto the bed fall in the crack??

First time mom to a 5 month old and this just helped ease my anxiety of transitioning baby boy to his own room in the crib. I’ve been room sharing since he was born he sleeps in the bassinet but he’s starting to outgrow it but this mama was so scared of him being in his own room alone because of SIDS.
