This actually happened to my mother-in-law recently. Hers wasn’t even through a link or scam, her phone was stolen from her bag in a cab. By the time she got to the bank, they had already used her banking app to take out a loan from her account. I honestly kept wondering how that was even possible. She reacted almost immediately after she noticed the phone was missing, but unfortunately, she was still too late. Now my question is: what are the preventive measures one can take to avoid something like this happening?
