Bournemouth Crown Court heard that Jason Powell repeatedly violated his Sexual Harm Prevention Order. In May 2024, Powell was detected uploading indecent images of children via the messaging app Kik from his mother's home. Dorset Police arrested Powell on 9 July 2024, seizing two mobile devices and SD cards. Digital forensic analysis uncovered 105 Category A videos and images—the most severe legal classification—totalling approximately three and a half hours of footage, including the violent rape of a four-year-old child. Powell was already subject to preventative restrictions at the time of the offending. On 15 September 2026, the court imposed a 16-month sentence, comprising 10 months in custody and six months of post-release supervision, with time spent on remand accounting for an expected release in December.
