My son is just about to turn one, he has always been fed to sleep and has been sleeping through the night since he was 8 months old. Some babies sleep. Some don’t. Telling mothers to stop doing the most natural things is truly an epidemic at this point 😒

I did this with my son until he was nearly 3 when he stopped breastfeeding then I was out of ideas on how to get him to sleep😂 he’s 5 now and still fights it

Same here. My son was a particularly bad sleeper, and so many people told me to stop breastfeeding. I didn’t, until he started weaning at 1.5. He didn’t sleep well for a while after that as well, but he’s three now and sleeps through the night without help.

Agree, I don’t mind doing it.. BUT it means I cannot have any life outside of being a mum, not even for a couple of hours in the evening.. no one else can do bedtime and I have to go back to work at 9/10 months pp and I have no idea how it’s gonna work 🫠

Night weaned the week before her 2nd birthday and can confirm she did not suddenly sleep through the night😅 completely weaned at 29 months and a month on she’s just slept through the night for the first time, i already miss it 😅🥰

I breast fed my baby to sleep the entire 1st year of her life and she sleeps just fine even after being weaned. I’m so sick of “sleep experts” and their advice. Just do what works best for you and your baby

Girl it won’t work. I’m with you. I’ve had so many friends say they tried this and they basically just said they lost the easiest and quickest way to resettle them over night 😳 boob all niiiiight loooong

It’s such nonsense. I still exclusively breastfeed now and co-slept with my baby til she was 10months old and she’s slept through a few times! And has long sleeps of sometimes 5-6hours during the night even when she wakes up x

YEEEESS! Exactly this, I wish the world stopped trying to make us feel bad about it. Also, there are very few situations that feel better than when your kid unlaches and rolls over to the other side, falling in deep sleep and you're suddenly free, the joy! The absolute feeling of victory and euphoria is beyond anything else 😆

I stopped feeding to sleep when my little girl was 2.5 ish because I’m pregnant and the HG was torture, but she didn’t sleep through 😂 some kids just don’t. Last night was the first night she’s slept through 9- 7:30 and she’s 3 in 2 weeks 🤷🏼♀️🥰
