@arthur_on_food: 🍔 BURGERS BEAT BEAT BOOKS 🍔 The Globe kitchen in Hay-on-Wye specialises in burgers, using lamb from their farm and local beef. The lamb was not available, so we tried two types of beef burger: the Buzz Burger and Bacon Cheese Burger. Both were exceptional. The buzz was a classic burger but with the addition of jalepenos and a spicy pork sausage, known as the Welsh dragon. I wasn’t sure about putting sausage in the mix, but it worked. The bacon cheese was a classic - the good quality bacon shone through, as did a homemade slaw. I was delighted to see some pink in the patties. Shout out to the chilli chorizo chicken loaded fries - boy, they were loaded. Quality chorizo, loads of cheese and plenty of chilli. Burgers are £13-17.50, but you are paying for quality ingredients.
