I lived in Mexico City- my favorite was (what they referred to as taquitos) and not the gas station variety. Our housekeeper taught me how to make them- fresh corn tortillas- grilled chicken- homemade green salsa- and Oaxaca/queso Fresca cheese. I have such great memories cooking with her. ❤️

I agree! I live in Colorado, and I have yet to find a tamale that doesn’t have a lot of masa. I like more meat than masa.
