@b7cdlkmzm1: Homemade thick pancake recipe without overmixing (simple cozy cooking scenario) 500 g all purpose flour (approx. 3 and 1/2 cups) 10 g baking powder (2 shallow teaspoons) 2 large eggs 350 ml of warm whole milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 2 tablespoons sugar 1 shallow teaspoon of salt 2-3 tablespoons unsalted butter (for griddle + interlayer brushing) 1 small bottle warm maple syrup handful of crispy bacon strips full bowl of fresh mixed berries Lighting mode In a large bowl place all dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, salt. Whisk lightly and let stand for 1 minute until fully evenly combined. Add eggs, warm whole milk, melted unsalted butter, vanilla extract. Mix gently. Add all the wet mixture into the dry flour bowl, and stir with a spoon only until a moist, lumpy thick batter forms. No need to overmix, no need to knead at all. Preheat buttered griddle on medium-low heat. Pour one ladle of thick batter onto the buttered surface. Cook until the top of the pancake is fully covered with round golden bubbles. Flip once, cook the other side until deep golden brown. Stack 4 fully cooked thick pancakes layer by layer. Slather each single layer generously with melted unsalted butter before placing the next pancake on top. Drizzle warm maple syrup all over the full 4-layer stack, let it flow down every side of the pancake layers. Top the very peak with all crispy bacon strips, and pile up fresh mixed berries all around. Serve immediately, add a big dollop of extra whipped cream right before eating.
