@chef_feeyi01: Let us unpack it honestly. Pride as a chef can show up in subtle ways It is not always , I am better than everyone. NO Sometimes it sounds like I know what I am doing: so you stop listening. I am the chef, so being corrected feels disrespectful. I would never make food like that, so you dismiss another chef’s method. I have six years of experience, so starting again at a lower position feels beneath you. They should recognise my ability, so you become frustrated when recognition does not come. I can do it myself, so you struggle to delegate. That is not how I was taught, so you resist learning a better or simply different way. I deserve better than this, which may actually be true, but can become entitlement if you are not careful. The list goes one and one . Very long. But what are your thoughts tho?
