Afternoon Tropical Update: 1. NHC now says there is a 100% chance of development. No surprise. 2. Absolutely nothing has changed from my morning post. Models continue to show a track between New Orleans and Pensacola. 3. As we said yesterday, the faster this develops, the stronger it will be. If that happens, definitely looking at the possibility of a hurricane approaching the Northern Gulf coast on Friday. 4. If it's slower to develop, it will face more shear and will be weaker. 5. I'll say it again. This is NOT Milton. Conditions are completely different here. Please ignore those who are desperate for attention by focusing on worst case scenarios.
