100% man. I recently had the sweetest lady apologizing profusely for "wetting the bed". She had a Foley that the balloon had deflated on and it was barely in, it couldn't have been less her fault. She wouldn't believe me that I'm not mad at her 😭

I go to the hospital every 4 weeks and I always try to be an easy patient bc I know medically I can be super annoying. Like I promise I don’t need anything, I know the drill, I’ll see you in two hours :)

my patient called me the c word and then threw her walker at me today 😅 along with a lot of other nice things. my patient, her wife, and her daughter were all apologizing to me i was like stop it 😂 you don’t need to apologize, you didn’t throw your walker at me lol

We do it because we know how badly nurses can be treated. We want a visit to our rooms to be a break for you, as much as possible. We don't want to waste your time or hospital resources.

I couldn’t agree more!! i try to tell my overly apologetic pts to just say thank you. i LOVE taking care of patients so i feel terrible when they’re “so sorry”.
