My sons will both know that they are going to be safer in police custody than with me if they do something like this. If they don’t help her, they are part of the problem. That’s on us as parents to teach them. It’s not that hard.

I’m 46 years old. Earlier this year I was accosted in a ladies bathroom. The lights weren’t working and a kitchen hand offered to get a torch to shed some light for me. While he went to get a light a man walked in and had me pinned against the wall with a forearm to my neck in moments. Always thought I would fight back. When it came down to it I froze. Luckily the kitchen hand came back and fought him off me. During the scuffle they turned the hand dryer on. That’s when I woke up and fought back. All the conversations in the world didn’t help how I reacted.

Another thing you can do is watching videos together to talk about what is real,what is fake, what is healthy, what is toxic. What are their views on what they are watching what could be done differently. There is a lot of those would you intervene videos. we also talked about what the signs are to show that intervening is needed.
