I have to sign into computer, sign in to the web page for the software, then sign in the authenticator, then sign in to the software to use it. its all the same login.

and why to I have to click a button to start the authentication process? I enter my username, I enter my password, I click SIGN IN, then I have to click another button to send the authentication text. JUST SENT IT IMMEDIATELY WHEN I CLICK SIGN IN 😡

All this authentication and our building requires badge access to even get in. Then on top of that the area I work also requires badge access that only a few have. I get it at home company computer yada yada but seriously it gets old.

On site, if it’s all on your Microsoft login, IT can set it so that all users in the building on the domain bypass authentication

My other favorite is a handful of years ago they made us change to a 16-character password (1 uppercase letter, 1 lowercase letter, and 1 special character) for better security. Okay, no problem. Then 8-12 months ago they made us change to a 6-digit numerical password for “better security”…. How the hell is that more secure?!?

I had to call the IT help desk last week at work because I couldn't get on my computer. They wanted to send me an email to click on the verify I was who I said I was. I reminded them I couldn't get on my computer therefore no access to email. I had to give them my bosses number and extention for the to verify me! Who calls IT for funsies!?! lol

And I’m authenticating on my iPhone 11. 😂😂😂 I don’t have to enter any password or code, just tap “Yes, it’s me.” That is water-tight security right there. And I work for a multi-billion dollar corporation.

During my performance review my boss gave me a comment of “someone else has mentioned it, I personally have never seen it and don’t think it’s an issue but because of who mentioned it, I have to pass it along. Try being a little more discreet with your phone usage because someone mentioned that you’re always on it when they walk by” and I’m like… I truly am never on my phone unless it’s work related or I have some down time. I guarantee it was probably for multifactor authentication. So many of my invoice upload portals require it
