Yeah get another bid. We have what we call the “I don’t wanna do it” price and I bet that’s what you got from Mr.Sparky. Hit up a smaller contractor and let them know what’s going on.

I’d get a second opinion, and he agrees with the first, get a third. I’m not an electrician, but I find it odd to go from shocking fountain to now a whole house without it being something simple stupid and somebody just wants to replace everything.
