POV: You are standing at the very bottom of the Washington Monument, looking up, and realizing just how massive 555 feet of pure marble actually is. 🏛️🤯 Seriously, video does not do this place justice! Standing right here at the base surrounded by the circle of American flags is an absolute vibe. You feel so tiny, but the energy is unmatched. Whether you are catching the sunrise reflecting off the Lincoln Memorial pool or watching the city light up at golden hour, this is the spot for your DC aesthetics. 🌅📸 A few quick tips for your visit: Look closely at the stone: You can actually see where they paused construction during the Civil War because the marble changes color about a third of the way up! Get the angles: Sit down on the grass further back to fit the entire monument into your transition videos. Plan ahead: Walking around the base is totally free and open 24/7, but if you want to take the elevator to the top, you need to grab tickets online in advance! Is it even a trip to DC if you don't get a selfie right here? 🎒✨ #washingtonmonument #washingtondc #travel #bucketlisttravel #exploredc
