(バンドリ!, Bandori!) is a Japanese multimedia project by Bushiroad, launched in January 2015 and officially announced in February 28, 2015. It began as a manga before expanding to other medias such as animes, live concerts, singles and albums, and games. It features 7 live bands (Poppin'Party, Roselia, RAISE A SUILEN, Morfonica, MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica, and Mugendai MewType) and another 5 bands (Afterglow, Pastel*Palettes, Hello, Happy World!, Millsage, and Ikka Dumb Rock!) through its mobile rhythm games Girls Band Party! and Our Notes Wakaba Mutsumi (若葉 睦) is a first-year student at Tsukinomori Girls' Academy and the rhythm guitarist for Ave Mujica going by the stage name Mortis (モーティス). She is childhood friends with Sakiko[4], whom she has known since kindergarten.[5] She is also classmates with Soyo. Mutsumi is a girl of slightly below-average height. She has straight, ashy, light green hair that goes past her shoulders and a straight-cut fringe, typically adorned with a small white barrette. She has downturned, sleepy-looking eyes with gold irises and downturned eyebrows. Much like Mashiro, her eyelines are visibly lighter than that of other characters, even when compared to ones of a similarly light hair color Just like many Tsukinomori students, Mutsumi comes from a rich family. Her father, Wakaba Takafumi, is a famous comedian known as Wakaba, while her mother is Mori Minami, an actress.[6] She also has played the guitar ever since she was young and as a result is a skilled guitarist. In middle school, after watching Morfonica's live together with Sakiko, Mutsumi was invited by her to join her band, leading to Mutsumi becoming the guitarist of CRYCHIC. However, after Sakiko declared she will be leaving the band, Mutsumi followed up and claimed that she never had fun while performing and hanging out with her bandmates, which ended up causing the band to break up in the end. Nagasaki Soyo is a first-year student at Tsukinomori Girls' Academy and the bassist for MyGO!!!!!. She is classmates with Mutsumi. Soyo has long, waist-length light brown hair and grayish-blue eyes, often supporting a gentle expression on her face. Her original band outfit consisted of a white turtleneck sweater with black cuffs, a black belt with a silver buckle, and a deep blue skirt with a long outer mesh layer. Her shoes are black with a chartreuse yellow cross on each. In her casual outfit, she wears a blue-white blouse with short, puffy sleeves and a frilly neckline, a cream-colored skirt with small flower patterns, and a thin brown necklace with a star charm on it. Soyo is a very kind and mature girl and she is often compared to an older sister or a caring mother. Due to this, she is often relied on by her peers, who she occassionally offers advice to. Soyo has a habit of fiddling with her fingertips when she's thinking[3] or planning something. Although not outwardly hostile, Soyo can be quite cunning at times. Deep down, Soyo has a hard time letting go of the past and moving forward, especially in regards to her former band. A part of her selfishly clung to the idea that CRYCHIC still hadn't actually broken up, as shown in the way she reacted after MyGO!!!!! decided to play Haruhikage during their first concert. As Sakiko kept rejecting her attempts to revive the band, Soyo cried that she had worked so hard for CRYCHIC, and even claimed that she is willing to do anything for the former.[4][5] In reality all of this stemmed from her not wanting to be left all alone. After revealing her true nature and reuniting with her band, while still retaining her gentle outlook, Soyo started expressing herself more bluntly and even admits to Tomori that she had always felt at unease with Tomori's lyrics due to resonating with them, as well as how there's a possibility she'll never be able to forget about CRYCHIC.
