This was supposed to be just a cute post, but making this made me look back on the past three years since I got into K-pop. I saved this idea to my favorites a while ago and finally got back to it, and I was about to post this and realized how perfect this timing was because exactly three years ago I started stanning my first group. Speaking of timing, I’ve recently realized just how much the word “fate” actually means to me. Not even just because it’s such a big part of enhypen’s lore, but because of all the random little things that happened that I only became aware of much later. One of them was randomly saving a wallpaper with HYBE’s sign because I thought it looked aesthetic, and then discovering K-pop eight months later. Little me could’ve never expect any of this to become such a big part of my life, but I’m so glad I gave it a try. I never thought music could bring so much into someone’s life: hobbies, people, memories, and even new parts of yourself. It’s taught me so much about life, other people, and especially myself. I’ve somehow reached a point where “yolo” and “to be cringe is to be free” are genuinely two of the biggest things I live by now. This year in particular, I’ve realized just how much can change in only a couple of months. Being able to add even the smallest references into my everyday life brings me an immense amount of joy, and I don’t think I would’ve been able to find that same kind of joy anywhere else. Words can’t express how grateful I am for everyone I’ve met throughout these three years, from people at school to friends I met online. 3 years, 3 albums, 3 concerts, 10 RPDs, 14 photocards, 18 performances, 1600+ songs, and countless people and memories later. I often think about what I would be doing right now if I had never heard S-Class three years ago, and what kind of person would I even be.
