@kaiamadd: Long yap sesh but this topic came up the other day and I wanted to share more because I think it’s so much more common now for women to feel this way about having children. I have major respect for women who do become mothers I just don’t see that for myself!!! I’ve never wanted to hold peoples babies it freaks me out😂 #childfree #airlinepilot #womeninaviation #childfreelife #femalepilot
That’s cool baby girl it’s your body not anyone else’s so take care of it know bodies business 😍

“And I’m not” PERIOD. As a female pilot married to a pilot- no one has ever asked my husband how he will handle being married, having kids, etc. many people have asked me and my response is always as follows: I didn’t marry a loser and we will both make changes to support our family.

I am a guy and a student pilot but I've never wanted kids and this is the perfect career for me. I love traveling.

There’s so many kids out there that need help and we already have too many people on this planet!

A female student pilot here and people assume bcoz I’m a woman I’ll have kids. Well for me I’m not sure yet coz I’m 19 and too young to decide. But our male colleagues don’t get this question at all.

I’m wondering how many men get this question?

I love telling people I don’t want kids, my greatest accomplishment will be traveling to as many places as I can and living life on my time! I’m married and luckily my husband feels the same. We love having freedom to do our own thing.

I’m 36, I travel a lot for work. I also went to school for several years to get my doctorate degree. I never really thought a lot about kids until I graduated and had been working in my field for awhile. Then, I realized that I really did not want to be a mom. I love my life and the flexibility I have. I can decide on a whim to do whatever and go wherever I want. I just know I would not be a happy person if I were a parent.

Sameeeeeee✨ 4 years fa & just became a cfi & i think the beauty in the aviation community is that there are soooo many individuals who feel like this. It's so comforting knowing others want to live a life outside the traditional norm

🙌 I’m 30, I love my career, and I love to travel. I’ve never felt baby fever. Nothing about kids sounds fun to me, from pregnancy to toddlerhood to school activities to worrying about them as adults. So, same!

Female airline pilot married to another airline pilot in our 30’s and we both frequently get asked if/when we’re having kids 😅 neither of us want kids right now. I can’t imagine coming home from a 4 day full of irops and having a whole human that relies on me to keep them alive, my hat goes off to crew members that are parents.

Cfi and hopefully future airline pilot! I also don’t want kids but was once told by an airline pilot that in the future I needed to be mindful of my children’s and husband’s needs when deciding whether or not to upgrade. I told him my one and only child (my cat) could probably handle it and he looked disgusted 🥰

Woman pilot here and team no kids. Talked about it with my fiance (also a pilot) and the options were 1. Heavily lean on family and move home. 2. Hire an au pair. 3. Bid opposite schedules so someone is always home. 4. Be a SAHM. I didn’t like any of those options so we’re not having any.

As a male pilot, I feel the same way of not wanting kids. It’s a busy lifestyle with work and the easy travel with your partner just feels much more smoother than with a kid involved

Good for you for speaking out about this. I’m 49, single and child free by choice. I live one of the most fantastic lives filled with people whom I love because I want to. I own two homes, I travel constantly, I have a wonderful career. Everyone of my girlfriends who’s married with kids is struggling right now and constantly telling me how they wish they were in my shoes. This is the life ladies!
