I always recommend parents hold off on a changing table until baby arrives. If changing on the couch/floor/bed works than why spend the money? But those things killed my back and we ended up buying one for my first and used it all the time. I’m pregnant now and got a changing mat to put on top of a dresser. Some folks just need the higher surface lol
