@expedition.ola: Birdie’s first steps into her FOREVER HOME😭🏡 This entire home has been built for accessibility and freedom🐾♿️ Birdie can find a cozy spot when she wants some peace, a sibling when she wants to wrestle and play, and at night the dogs sleep cuddled up in bed with their mama or wherever they choose💕 There’s a pool for future Birdie swims, beautiful weather year round and so much opportunity to be outside and active🌞💦🕊️ And all the complicated stuff that comes with loving Birdie? It’s normal here. Diapers, bladder expressions, poop, wheelchairs, skin care, wounds… Debbie has dedicated her life to caring for dogs like Birdie and has years more experience and resources than we do❤️🩹 Birdie is already so content😭 We spent the night to help her settle in, although she didn’t really need our help😆 She loves having a pack around her, already found little besties and is fitting into this family so naturally🐶💕 And yes, we brought Birdie’s little playpen! Her incision is closed and we’d like to keep it that way🍑🙌🏼 We keep hearing the word “traditional” and all I can think is… come on guys, hasn’t Birdie taught us anything?!😂😭 Her body isn’t traditional. Her life isn’t traditional. Her family doesn’t have to be traditional either. Different doesn’t mean less💛 Birdie has a home. A mama who is home all day every day. A whole pack of siblings. So much love, care and freedom. And Birdie still gets to be Birdie out in the world🐶🕊️ Adventuring, meeting people and continuing to share all that love and light✨ Welcome home Birdie girl🏡🫶🏼

I can’t even watch these videos anymore. My heart is broken for Birdie. She deserved 1:1 care, the type she has thrived in and made her heal. This felt rushed, at a point she was just healing. I’m sorry but this whole decision is so wrong. Please rethink this.

I'm honestly shocked at all these negative comments. This lady is one of a kind willing to give these sweet disabled pups a home who otherwise would have been euthanized. the house looks clean.. the dogs look clean and well fed.

This is just….too much. I’ve been a dog groomer for 16 years and this just gives me not good energy….there’s too many dogs for one person…I’ve seen situations like this where the person takes on too much with good intentions and it ends in a really bad situation.

The fact that this sweet dog is being sent to a group home is devastating.

Yes let’s put a dog that’s still healing in an overstimulating environment. Why are you rushing this?

y’all, it’s OK for a dog to be anxious and overstimulated going in to a new environment. That does NOT mean she won’t be perfectly happy within a few days! We all need some time to adjust, and this really seems like a wonderful place for her forever home. Best of luck, Birdie!! ❤️❤️

These comments are horrible. I'm very glad Birdie is going to a home that can support all her needs and keep her mentally stimulated. she has lots of buddies and I think that's great!

birdie went from living on the streets with two broken legs not knowing if she’s gonna live or die… she now will live in a home with so many friends and someone who loves her and will give her the care of she needs and deserves. i’m sure this is not easy on anyone, however, THEY know what birdie needs and they would not put her in a situation where she wouldn’t thrive. debbie is a god sent and what she’s done for these dogs are absolutely incredible. birdie is in the perfect home and she is going to be loved by SO many people, not just Debbie.

everyone saying “this isn’t what she wants”… are YOU the ones that fostered and nursed birdie back to health? are YOU the ones that know her best? you are all parasocial and don’t know this dog or these people the way you think you do. none of you wanted to ACTUALLY adopt her, but now all of the sudden you think her environment is overstimulating and you’re coming out of the woodwork saying you think your home is better? learn the 3/3/3 rule before you start speaking on the placement of shelter/foster dogs, especially those with trauma.

It seems a wayyyy to overstimulating environment. I feel so bad for her. She's still trying to heal.

Well I hate to say this, but it’s not the situation I hoped she’d end up with. She’s one of many and not someone’s one and only. She deserves all the love. Sigh…

The worst part to me is you straight up said she wasn’t fully healed yet and she is put in this crazy chaotic environment. I don’t get it.
