@hurricane.ready: Google's experimental DeepMind AI brings the storm ashore near the Alabama/Florida line Friday night as a hurricane. The GFS, Euro and hurricane models are slower and farther west, reaching Louisiana or Mississippi on Saturday, and most of them are weaker. That's about 100 miles and half a day of difference, and nobody knows yet which side is right. Hurricane Hunter flights through Wednesday should help narrow it down. The NHC now puts development odds near 100% and says advisories will likely begin later today or tonight. If you live anywhere from Louisiana to the Florida Panhandle, get your plan and supplies ready now.
