Maybe it won’t be so bad without non domicile until things change again…

Those rates need to be higher. Had a broker call me tonight hyping up a 'great load' for $1,500. I asked him, 'What's the rate, sir?' He proudly goes, '$1,500!' I said, 'Dude... 2 drops, 2 days? At $1,500?' Some of these brokers are absolutely hilarious. I can't tell if they're bad at math or just comedy writers on the side. 🤡🚛"

Reefer at 3.80/mile is low. Need to be close to $4.50/mile

I work with a broker who’s been doing this 30 years by comparison. I think we’re dealing with a much different situation now than COVID, or any other normal “cycle”. You may not think non domiciled cdls are going to be impactful but they absolutely are a massive impact on spot market capacity and rates. And I really hate to say anyone that thinks diesel is going back down to under 5.50 a gallon anytime soon is living in their dreams. Expect this to continue for a minimum of the next 2 years. Could be longer. And I think it wildly depends on equipment type. Dry van rates are historically always low, it’s the most common equipment type and the one that will see the most “swing” in any capacity changes.

I 70 north doesn’t mean nothing. There may be a lot of freight but it’s cheap.

How can you ever have a stable trucking industry and business if you’re always condemned to the next crash.
