@cockermilly: I have no plan 😅 I’ll see where the next few weeks takes me, but there’s so much going on in my head and I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself. I just want to not feel so overwhelmed by everything, and be able to not feel like simple things are so difficult and onerous. The only time I am able to motivate myself to do something outside of work is when it’s for the dogs. I don’t think twice about it. So hopefully this can translate elsewhere 😅 I don’t know.

Getting a counsellor or therapist was the best thing I ever did. You need to stop rather than continue going and continue the burnout. Sending you lots of love xxx

Sleep, rest, watch some feel good films/series, enjoy your time with your fur babies, read a book or do a hobby that you can do with your hands but not have to think too much about, like colouring. I’ve recently been through this. It’s hard, but try and prioritise yourself. X

As someone who has had a mental breakdown (literally). Please do look after yourself! I've lost my business, my car, my home all down to mental health. The exact same as you, looked after my dogs and child (of course) but couldn't look after myself and paid the price for it

It isnt until you stop that you suddenly don't know how you survived it.

I was here in June-July, I took 4 weeks off work and focussed on self care (got back in the gym, I now exercise 5 days per week) I have a relaxing bath every 2 weeks (no kids/work/dogs, just bubbles and a candle) I had daily naps (just too tired), took time out here and there (BnM trips) to give myself a break. I feel so much better and no longer falling to pieces. Good luck, the Dr told me to make changes as otherwise after 4 weeks off I’d be back in the same position

Oh love. I feel you. I was diagnosed with ADHD about 18 months ago, at age 41 after my life went to shit and I burned out. I work in financial services (legal and governance), and have coped most of my career however my hormones stated shifting age 40 and it exacerbated my ADHD symptoms. Paralysis is so normal with ADHD burnout and stress. I’ve found a love for yoga nidra and meditation. It’s helped me hugely. I’ve set boundaries, personally and professionally. I can’t say it’s solved every problem but my god it’s so much better. I also have endometriosis and I can tell you, that’s contributed. I know you struggle with similar problems. Hormone balancing is really important. If I can ever help, just message me! sending love x

I have been in this same position a year ago. I had two weeks off to start with and ended up taking 12 weeks off and therapy to recover and understand my habits and boundaries that needed to change to stop it from happening again. it's becoming more and more common for women in corporate to suffer from this. sending lots of hugs, there is light at the end of the tunnel ♥️

Honestly just sleep, rest, and stare into those little doggie eyes. They are the best healers
