@animal.joy.daily: Meet Eugene, a baby reticulated giraffe born on January 17, 2026, at the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium in Ohio. Weighing approximately 130 pounds at birth, he quickly became a social media favorite thanks to the adorable tuft of dark hair on top of his head. 🦒🤍 His name was selected from suggestions, and zoo staff say it fits his emerging personality perfectly. With his sweet face and distinctive little hairstyle, it’s easy to see why visitors have fallen for him. 🥹 Eugene is the first calf for mom Lily and the second for dad Rocket. He joined seven other giraffes, bringing the zoo’s herd to eight at the time of his arrival. Keepers reported that his introductions to the herd went well, with Eugene and the other giraffes showing interest in one another. Tiny hairdo, big charm. Eugene certainly knows how to make an entrance. 💙 Credit: @thetoledozoo #BabyGiraffe #EugeneTheGiraffe #CuteAnimals #wildlife
