@universalunfold: Captain Zivi Nedivi lost the canopy, not control. At 200 knots, wind roaring but her spirit louder. In 1983, during a training flight over Israel’s Negev Desert, her F-15D Eagle had a mid-air contact with an A-4 Skyhawk, losing its entire right wing. Still, she stayed calm, used afterburners, and brought the jet safely back to base. The ground crew was stunned an F-15 had landed with one wing missing. A true example of skill and engineering.
