@tylerallison92: What do all you business owners do that make so much money? I get a lot of them showing up in my comments. The numerous successful business owners I know do not make $300k/year and dedicate their life to the business constantly reinvesting the profits. Business ownership seems like one of the most challenging ways to make $300k/year from real world experience.
to pull $300k as a business owner, you'd need a business that does $5M in top line. only about 1-1.5% of ALL businesses in canada generate over $1M in revenue. so yeah...

I have a small business doing cnc machining making a little over 500k in profit. My effective corporate tax rate is 11.5% and i re-invest 90% in the s&p500. I pay myself just enough to live 😅

Paying yourself 300k /yr. Is not smart. To much income tax. Leave the money in the company. Take what you need.

I’m in year 6. Will do 2M this year. I do well off it. I work everyday inc weekends. No days off, no fancy holidays, no tours or fancy watches (anymore). It’s hard as F. Not many would want this life. But I will retire by 38.. maybe not for ever lol

not a business owner but ATC at a major airport in canada. with OT we're making 300 to 400+k a year if you work about 5 on 2 off pace. if you don't work OT, probably 200-275k depending on seniority working 34 hours a week.

They’re lying to you, business is NOT easy. The people saying that are just selling a course. Business is extremely hard, extremely stressful, it ages you 10x faster, it is an absolute non stop 24/7 grind

Is there something in the oil field that is not super labor intensive? Something that you work hard but not hanging off a harness staring down a hole in the ground?

I dont make 300k a year, but I run my own little general contracting business. it's just me. no subs. Just didn't like the term handyman for landing larger jobs. but I maybe work 6 months total out of the year, and I was able to watch my three girls grow in the most important time of their lives, so id say im rich with watching my children grow and having that freedom

Businesses save taxes. If you are making 300k 50% goes to tax! 🤦🏻♂️

You have to be able to sell/do business development. And it is a lot of effort. Or you can defraud people, that’s more common than you think.

Making 300k plus a year all passive income as a business owner. I can do nothing for the rest of my life and still bring that in annually.

I made 360 last year and 940k in revenue but you can’t just start a business with out working for somebody and learning from good people. Should work for someone good for 10 years before going out on your own and better learn how to save cause you’re always interesting back in to it.

I worked both oil patch wire line for three years and I’ve been running a company of my own now for five years and I can easily say you can leave the oil patch behind on your days off, but you can’t leave self-employment behind on your days off it’s a 24 seven job
