Dragon Ball has a lot of subtle writing that people overlook. A lot of character arcs and themes are never explicitly state or acknowledged. SSG is a perfect example of this. Many people say SSG was unearned because Goku achieved it through a ritual instead of traditional training. But who was involved in that ritual? Goku, Goku’s sons, Goku’s daughter-in-law, and Goku’s best friend. Goku may not have TRAINED for SSG, but he earned it through his mercy and compassion that allowed him to build a family. If Goku let Krillin kill Vegeta, there is no SSG. The most consistent theme in Dragon Ball is Goku inspiring those around him to do better through his love and compassion. Yamcha, Piccolo, Tien, Vegeta, and even Krillin to a lesser extent were all hostile to Goku upon meeting him. They ranged from selfish to downright villains. Now, they’re all heroes 100 times over. SSG is not the culmination of Goku’s training, but rather the culmination of his love.

I was the biggest hater until I saw a Bulma edit and decided to watch it from the beginning and my eyes were opened. I love Dragonball so much now and it's given me something else to talk to my cousin and brother about.

The way she understands everything Toriyama is trying to convey to the reader while at the same time low-key predicting stuff that hasn't even happened yet is genuinely beautiful to see. I started watching her at the start of the King Piccolo Arc and it's so nice watching her be so pure, I wish I could relive Dragon Ball for the first time again.

I wanna double down by defending somebody from the Dragon Ball universe was always being slander and that person is my goat. Hercule hurt you literally save the planet two times once from sale and then other time from majin buu. Let me explain first off. He grabbed 16 head and carried it through the battlefield where cell jr and the z fighters. We’re literally dropping the equivalent of nuclear bombs and through it to Gohan which gave him a chance to speak with Gohan and die at the foot of CELL, which causes him to send then doing a boo hurt you literally spoke to the people and told them to give their energy to Goku or else they were gonna die. People were literally not about to give their energy to him, and everybody was about to die because that spirit was not powerful enough y’all need to give Hercules his respect and put it on his name.
