So I know that there's different takes on how to interpret how he said this. But I need everybody to bear in mind that there is a language barrier between these two different societies. Iran when translating, could very much believe that that is exactly what was said and meant. Whether you want to interpret it one way or the other. The fact that english speakers are debating on how, or what was meant is a big problem that these words came out of the president of the united states.
