Our school has a share the fair fund. We call it Book Fairy and there is an e-wallet account that can be set up and the whole school community can donate. We had over $1k in our account to provide books to kiddos that we knew couldn't get books.

Children who receive free lunch should get a book voucher automatically. I don’t agree with schools having children see others buy books and they cannot. We need to do better. Reading and education is a right not a privilege!!

I put $50-75 on my sons wallet and I add $25 to the shared fund. I was the kid who never had money and I’d watch kids shop. I was one of the kids who would sometimes volunteer to help for a free bookmark and eraser.

Our school doesn’t even go during the school day they go after if they can . I think it’s so students don’t feel bad if they can’t afford it

I feel the same about the book fair. We didn't have a lot of money growing up but I loved everything there. Now I like to go with my nieces and nephews and make sure they get what they want!
