PEACY🫛✌️ :
I want you to ask your wife a simple question: Is it the government alone that has done everything you are seeing in Korea, or do the people also contribute to their communities by taking responsibility and working together?
Because in Nigeria, everything is always about the government. Government this, government that. But let me ask you something: Is it the government that built that beautiful house you showed us and made sure it stayed neat and organized? Is it the government that made sure there was no dirt or a single piece of paper littering the road you were showing us? No! A lot of that responsibility falls on the people who live there.
The government has its responsibilities, of course. It must provide infrastructure, establish and enforce rules, maintain public services, and create an environment where communities can thrive. But citizens also have a responsibility to keep their surroundings clean, respect public property, maintain their homes, and contribute to making their communities better.
We cannot expect the government to do everything while we refuse to do our own part.
Ask your wife that question, listen to her answer, and then apply that same thinking to Nigeria. If you can observe and appreciate the organization, cleanliness, and community responsibility you see in Korea, why can’t we have an honest conversation about how we can encourage those same values back home?
