My friend and I are working on an initiative in North Eastern Kenya aimed at empowering young children and giving them access to the technology and digital skills they need to succeed in today’s world. We have seen that many children in our communities face challenges accessing quality education and modern learning resources. As technology continues to shape education, employment, communication, and almost every aspect of life, we believe that no child should be left behind simply because of where they come from or the circumstances they were born into. Our goal is to establish an organisation that will provide children with opportunities to learn essential digital and technological skills. This could include basic computer literacy, internet skills, digital creativity, coding, graphic design, online research, and other practical skills that can prepare them for the future. We want to create a safe and supportive learning environment where children can discover their potential, develop confidence, and gain skills that can open doors to further education and future employment. This initiative is not only about providing technology. It is about providing opportunity, knowledge, confidence, and hope. We believe that every child deserves the chance to learn, create, and participate in the digital world. With the right support, even a child from a community with limited educational resources can develop skills that transform their future and positively impact their family and community. We are therefore looking to build partnerships with individuals, organisations, technology companies, schools, donors, and other stakeholders who share this vision. Through collaboration, we hope to provide the equipment, learning resources, training, mentorship, and support necessary to make this vision a reality. Our vision is simple: To ensure that children in underserved communities in North Eastern Kenya are not left behind in the digital age. We want to help build a generation that is educated, digitally equipped, innovative, confident, and prepared to create opportunities for themselves and others.
