As a parent with 2 kids just finishing up University, one when a Masters and the other a Pharm D, this utterly pisses me off! Governance brought here by British colonizers needs to go! The system is flawed and favors capitalistic money making, power hungry relationships.

I don’t get the argument. “Gutted”?OSAP funding didn’t go away or even get reduced - $1.5B in 2025/26. So, more funding was made available for more options - IMO, career colleges focus more on specific career entry programs helping to get more people working faster than a typical college or university program and creating affordable options for many who don’t have ESP funds. Sounds kinda smart to me, but admittedly I didn’t spend $75K on an economics degree from Laurier…

well there was also a fake school that was allowing intl student to sign up, claim osap, and fuck off, you can search it up, they checked exam and module logins and found several ( i think 38/40) accounts “completed” all modules quizzes and exams between 6-15 minutes on the first day of school. deadass look it up

Then just cancel grants to the private career college not the regular undergraduate students. And if the government wants to develop the country, we should spend more on students who are going to study hard science and engineering program in top universities and let those international students have more chance to stay. Now, a master engineering student graduates from uoft is not as competitive as one from lakehead univeristy with same degree! How ridiculous!

why so recent? before COVID he did the same thing and got rid of Wynne's "free tuition " program... I was literally taking academic upgrading to be able to get into a trade course after... and now I'm stuck working at Amazon with crushing debt...and still no education to get me a better job...
