star wars ships are using repulsor engines that work only in gravity like a negative magnetic pole and pushes the ship away from the gravity.

It would be possible If it would have a very strong gyro-stabilizer and in the Star wars universe the engines are much much much stronger, so maybe that also would be possible in the future. the vertical lift und dive is the Thing that concernes me the most.
