@space_minds: Space Is Not Actually Empty the Way You Were Taught: Just Like an Atom, the Universe Is Almost Entirely Empty Space, and the Stars and Planets Are the Rare Exceptions. #Science #space #universe #atom

What is beyond the edge of that universe circle??? Will Professor Cox answer me ???

user4141549330560 :

I’ve always felt more than known or guessed that a lot of questions humans have about the universe, are found if you go small rather than big..

minh teran :

A genuinely fascinating and thought-provoking observation! 👏🌌 Atoms are often described as mostly empty space because their nuclei occupy only a tiny fraction of their volume. However, electrons are described by quantum wavefunctions, and the surrounding region is not simply an empty void. Likewise, the universe contains vast regions of extremely low matter density, but even intergalactic space contains particles, radiation and quantum fields. The comparison is intriguing, although atoms and the universe are governed by different structures and physical processes. Your suggestion that exploring the smallest scales might help answer questions about the largest is particularly insightful. Modern theoretical physics investigates precisely these connections, especially where quantum mechanics, gravity and cosmology intersect. Sometimes understanding the immense requires understanding the infinitesimal. Brilliant perspective! 🔬✨
