100% false! Mcdonalds restaurants are majority independently owned by local operators who set the prices themselves. Two stores a mile apart could be owned by different operators.

This has been a McDonalds thing before AI was a thing. Corporate locations use the standardized recommended pricing, while franchisees have always gotten that pricing recommendation, but could set their own prices. It's always been analyzed to squeeze maximum profits, AI is just automating that same process. It gives the same pricing to every location with the region. Hell, back in 2015, when I went to college, the same franchise owner had both locations in town but set different prices because one was close to the university and thus higher prices.

what about fair pricing? like 5 years ago when a mcdouble was a dollar, a large drink was a dollar, and a 20pc was $5? why go for record high profits when all it does is bleed us dry. now we're to the point no one can afford a 3.49 mcdouble.
