@rainy.day.weather: 🌀 CATEGORY 2 HURRICANE FORECAST IN THE GULF | October 6 The forecast shown brings this system to 80 mph Thursday, 90 mph early Friday and 100 mph Friday afternoon, approaching the northern Gulf Coast. Those are projected future winds, with the exact strength, landfall location and timing still subject to change. 📍 New Orleans, Gulfport, Biloxi, Mobile and Pensacola: keep checking updates. Based on this track, late Friday into Saturday is the coastal window to watch, followed by the system moving inland over the weekend. Conditions can deteriorate before the center arrives. 🌊 The concerns extend beyond wind: hurricanes can bring storm surge, flooding rain, tornadoes and dangerous surf and rip currents. Category only measures maximum sustained wind, so a weakening storm can still produce serious flooding inland. ⚠️ The cone shows uncertainty in the center’s track, not the storm’s size. Impacts can extend well outside it, and being outside the white area does not guarantee safety. Review your hurricane supplies and evacuation zone, and follow local officials as the forecast develops. This is a guest at Best with the shearing high winds from El Niño coming across the golf there’s a good chance this will be a rainmaker but these hurricanes will barely make strength if any at all just Mark my word
