@cnbc: A growing number of #colleges are in financial distress — even after hiking tuition. "There's no doubt about the fact that more schools will close," Colby College President David Greene tells CNBC's Jessica Dickler. ⠀ Read more at the #linkinbio or the link on screen. #CNBC
Professors are making $400k teaching 3 classes a year. No joke. Say it all the time at ND.

Administration needs to cut by 90% and professors should have to teach 24 class hours at a minimum

Has this guy not read the research on what AI does to learning? Oh yeah! He’s not an educator. His bottom line is $$$$, not students.

Well, increasing the tuition and room and board is not the answer. AI will just decrease enrollment

Using the all the same tax returns, financials, etc, it was 40% cheaper, total COA, for my daughter to attend a NESCAC than our state schools. I think people who are “full pay” at state schools have absolutely no idea that there are lots of private schools that will offer significant financial aid because their income threshold is much different. There are a ton of private schools now that offer free tuition for families making less than $150k and a smaller (but growing number) that have moved that threshold to $200k tell everyone to google this info & apply just to see! “Oh, $100 is a lot of money to find out”. Dude, I’ve seen you buy $100 superbowl squares at a *chance* to win $10k. Consider the $100 application a chance at $100k-$400k and the odds are much better.

Let’s start by dropping a degree down to 2 years and cutting our religion philosophy nutrition and all the bs classes. Now your $100k for 2 years not 4. 1/2 the money.

Going to college on loans without having a strong work ethic is a recipe for disaster in 2026. Employers can see that and will cast you aside like garbage. Just the harsh reality today.
