@aladdin.draws: 6 colored pencil lessons for glowing, shiny color ✏️ Hands, fabric, clouds, and crystals look very different, but the same color rules sit behind all of them: 1. Start with a small palette. Pick 6 to 12 pencils per drawing and swatch them beside the piece. 2. Warm light, cool shadow. The hand and the clouds glow because oranges meet blues and purples. 3. Shift the hue across the form. On holographic fabric and the amethyst, teal, violet, and pink change from fold to fold. 4. Keep your darks deep. Navy, plum, and brown make every highlight shine. 5. Place crisp white highlights right next to the darkest tones. This is what makes metal, glass, and crystal look wet. 6. Add a tinted cast shadow. A touch of color under the object makes it look like it's glowing. One thing to remember: contrast makes color glow. Soft blending gives you the form, and sharp edges give you the shine. 💾 Save this as your colored pencil cheat sheet. Which one would you try first: skin, fabric, clouds, or crystals? 👇 #drawingtutorial #howtodraw #arttips
