@lisasonni: Leaving an abusive relationship doesn’t automatically end the abuse. When a man says, “Why can’t we just be friends?” or “We need to coparent,” while continuing to undermine, control, or manipulate the mother of his children, that isn’t healthy coparenting. You don’t get to abuse someone and then demand the closeness, trust, and access of a friendship afterward. Coparenting requires safety, respect, and accountability. Not continued control. #CoParenting #EmotionalAbuse #CoerciveControl

Do abusive men receive some sort of step by step guide? Because I swear they all do the exact same stuff. Once you see it you can’t unsee it

I tried to do the co parenting thing with my pos ex and he kept making it weird and uncomfortable. When I started seeing someone 3 years after I left him, he decided that using the kids as weapons and ab*sing the shit out of me was ok, so I got a restraining order. He broke that order and took my kids from school, changed them to another school and was getting ready to move away with them and my own parents helped him. When I got the chance, I grabbed my kids and ran. I’m so glad I did, because about 6 months later, they told me how badly he ab*sed them when I wasn’t around. I blocked everyone involved and I’m going for sole responsibility/custody. I’ll be damned if I ever let those people hurt any of us again
