I had a great time in school 💀 got my engineering degree and a decent enough GPA. A 3.3 GPA with a social life is better than a 3.7 with no social life

I think of sleep like charging your phone. If you don’t charge your phone long enough it won’t be as useful during the day. Basically, no matter how hard I work I gotta get my sleep in

problem with social life at uni is that the social activities are often stuff like bar crawls until 12pm etc, so having a social life can affect your sleep

I will say sleep and grades are actually heavily related and 'sacrificing sleep for good grades' is counter intuitive. If you have good time management you should be both studying and sleeping consistently. Studying is ineffective if you don't sleep well to actually develop memory pathways afterwards.

so true. I'm a climber and mountaineer so I like to spend nights away in the mountains. some parts of the semester I can't go at all. but I still manage to train and work whilst studying even during the busiest times of year. just gotta remember these things come and go
