@filmthusiastofficial: The meaning of Spider-Man in one scene. ‘Brand New Day’ begins with Peter Parker more alone than he’s ever been, with even MJ and Ned having no memory of him. He spends the film hoping and trying to reconnect with the people he loves, all while he’s simultaneously showing up for a city where nobody knows his name. By the end, Peter is standing in a crowd that’s cheering for Spider-Man, surrounded by people whose lives he’s touched, all unaware that he’s standing right beside them. Then, a little boy in the crowd catches his eye, makes the web-shooting gesture, and Peter smiles and returns it. After spending so long hoping someone would remember him, Peter finally gets to feel how much he really matters. He’s given people hope through some of the loneliest days of his life, and a little of it now finds its way back to him.
