Hajime Kashimo — Life Story 400 years ago — Edo period Kashimo was an extremely powerful jujutsu sorcerer who lived roughly 400 years before the main story. By the end of his life, he was an elderly man and had become known for his overwhelming strength and lightning-based cursed energy. But being that strong became a curse of its own. Kashimo spent his life searching for someone who could actually challenge him. He defeated opponent after opponent, but none of them could satisfy him. Eventually, he became bored with fighting because nobody was strong enough to make him struggle. His meeting with Kenjaku Near the end of his life, Kashimo was suffering from a fatal illness. One day, after another battle, he encountered Kenjaku. Kenjaku asked him whether he had enjoyed his latest fight. Kashimo basically admitted that he hadn't. Kenjaku told him about powerful sorcerers, but Kashimo wasn't interested in traveling somewhere far away when he was already close to death. Instead, Kashimo asked Kenjaku: Who is the strongest person you've ever known? Kenjaku answered Ryomen Sukuna. That immediately interested Kashimo. Kashimo therefore made a deal with Kenjaku: he would become a cursed object and be reincarnated hundreds of years later, giving him another chance to fight Sukuna. Reincarnation — Culling Game Hundreds of years later, Kashimo was reincarnated into the modern era and entered the Culling Game. He wasn't interested in winning the Culling Game or becoming famous. He had one goal: find Sukuna. Kashimo quickly became one of the most dangerous players, defeating dozens of other players and accumulating over 200 points. He even used some of those points to add a rule that allowed players to obtain information about other players. Eventually, he encountered Panda and Kinji Hakari. Hakari was different from the other opponents Kashimo had encountered. Their battle pushed Kashimo much harder, and Kashimo genuinely enjoyed it because Hakari actually gave him a challenge. Afterward, Kashimo accepted his defeat and agreed to work with Hakari because Hakari could help him reach Sukuna. Kashimo finally meets Sukuna After Gojo's battle with Sukuna, Kashimo finally got what he had been waiting hundreds of years for. Sukuna. Kashimo entered the battlefield and challenged him. But Kashimo wasn't simply looking for a fight. He also wanted an answer to something that had bothered him his entire life: What is it like to be the strongest? Kashimo had always been isolated because everyone around him was weaker. He couldn't understand how the strongest person could connect with other people or love people who were beneath them in strength. He asked Sukuna whether strength was something that made the strongest alone, or whether loneliness was simply the burden that came with being at the top. Mythical Beast Amber Kashimo then used his one-time cursed technique: Mythical Beast Amber. It transformed his body into a form capable of extraordinary electrical phenomena, allowing him to push his physical abilities even further. For a moment, Kashimo was able to pressure Sukuna enough that Sukuna was forced to restore his body to his true form. But once Sukuna returned to his true form, the difference in power became clear. Kashimo was defeated. Kashimo's final realization The important part of Kashimo's ending isn't simply that he lost. In his final conversation with Sukuna, Kashimo finally received the answer he'd been searching for throughout his entire existence. Sukuna's philosophy was essentially that strength doesn't have to mean isolation. The strongest can express themselves through others and through the connections they make. Kashimo finally understood what he had been missing. And, satisfied with the answer he'd spent his entire life searching for, Kashimo accepted his death with a smile. - @ulqu1orra.amz
