@kvalnews: Sweet Home High School football player Mason Flores was escorted home to Sweet Home from Portland after suffering a severe head injury during a junior varsity football game last week. Flores was life-flighted to a Portland-area hospital with a brain bleed, where his family later learned he would not recover. On what was supposed to be his 16th birthday, his family chose to honor his life through organ donation. #LiveonKVAL VIDEO COURTESY: David Burghduff

🙏 Praying for Mason's family. What a tragedy. A serious reminder that football can cause lifelong damage or even death. Take care of each as best you can when playing together on the field.
